Organisation of foreign students' reception
Prior to international students arrival at the university the Erasmus coordinator arranges the adequate programme, which is adjusted to the partner institutions requirements. This way the programme is not only carefully elaborated according to individual needs but it is being improved every year and completed with new subjects. The students receive the schedule of classes as well as detailed information about excursions and all the events and activities in first days of their stay at the university, which are devoted to some accommodation arrangements, issue of documents such as library cards or students cards, visiting university, library, computer room, student’s canteen, town sightseeing, etc. During the first weeks of students' stay at the university they are provided with the intensive „survival course” of Polish language so as they can feel more secure at the very start of their experience in Poland.
The academic year consists of a winter semester commencing on 1st October and ending in mid-February and a summer semester commencing in mid-February and ending in July. Examinations take place in February and the end of June / beginning of July.
